Milimal's Hunger Bars.

         I know i'm not alone on this one, we all have that moment when we are really hungry but feel pressurised by society to eat something healthy. Only problem is, healthy things take too long to make or are super expensive or involve ingredients you don't really find in the average person's pantry. Now i'm here to help you, provide you with a little something that will not only curb those sugar cravings but are also healthy (or at least I think they are) AND super easy to make. I present to you the 'Milimal Hunger Bar'(trademark pending) otherwise known as the common granola bar- but much better, I promise.
         Not only are these super easy to make, they also taste so great you'll never realise how (relatively) healthy they are for you! Plus you can feel proud of yourself for making something so delicious and addictive.

Ingredients

* 1 Cup Rolled Oats
* 1 Cup Rice Bubbles
You can substitute the Oats and Rice Bubbles for other cereal ingredients such as Nutrigrain, Bran, Cornflakes, or your favourite cereal - Just depends on how healthy you want it.
* 1/2 Cup Chopped Nuts
I used almonds, but you could use pistachios, walnuts, macadamia nuts, etc.
* 1/2 Cup Chopped Dried Fruit
You could use walnuts, dried cranberries, dried fig-THE POSSIBILITIES ARE ENDLESS!!
* 1/2 Cup Dark Chocolate Chips
This is where you can get creative, add whatever you want really- marshmallows, caramel bits, sunflower seeds, etc-Once again it depends on how healthy you want it to be.
* 2 1/2 Tablespoons of Butter
* 2 1/2 Tablespoons of Honey
*2 1/2 Tablespoons of Brown Sugar

Method

Step One:
Mix together all your dry ingredients i.e. the oats, rice bubbles, nuts, dried fruit and chocolate, in a  large bowl.

Step Two:
In a saucepan, place your butter, sugar and honey and bring to a boil and leave to bubble and caramelise for two minute (try not mixing it with a spoon, just swirl the pan around to prevent it burning at the bottom).

Step Three:
Pour the caramel concoction into the bowl with the dry ingredients and mix together. Make sure it is mixed together throughly.
Step Four:
Press the mixture into a lined tin , using the back of a small ball to ensure it's all tightly packed in and refrigerate for at least half an hour.
Step Five:
Cut into pieces and enjoy!

         See, I told you it wasn't too hard to make (although waiting for it to cool down is kinda hard!). They honestly taste too good to be good for you but considering the lack of preservatives and the tonne of healthy ingredients, they are definitely better than the store bought kind...or salt and vinegar chips!
